Okay, so after I finished my first card with this weeks colors, I thought of another card design that I wanted to try. I was inspired by a card made by the very talented Nichole Heady a couple of weeks ago and wanted to try something similar with this weeks colors. Here is the original blog post with the card . I love the simplicity and texture of the card. This is what I came up with--I heat embossed the largest doily from the My Minds Eye Gertie 'Girly' stamps with Zing Embossing Powder. PTI cardstock colors in Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse, and New Leaf were cut into strips, adhered vertically on white cardstock and cut into horizontal strips. I added them on top of the doily with pop dots. The sentiments are from one of my favorite Hero Arts stamp sets - 'Sending Smiles Messages'. The white cardstock still needed a little something, so I drew a black frame around the perimeter. I'm very happy with the results and loved how fast and easy these were to make.

Beautiful set of cards!
