Papertrey Ink's 8th Anniversary Challenge: Day 7

The challenge today is to use only metallics and neutrals in a card.  I pulled out my Watercolor Wonder stamp set and embossed a few of the images with gold embossing powder.    I cut the Wonderful Words: Hello die using true black cardstock and attached it with foam tape.

I liked the way the card turned out, but wish I would heat embossed the images on a separate card front and then attached it to the base. The base warped a little when I applied the heat gun. Oh, well. Thanks for looking.

  1. The warping with embossing drives me crazy!!! Sometimes I actually want the look of a one layer card but if I'm embossing...I just don't do it anymore...gotta have a base to flatten it all out with adhesive! This design is SO nice, though...LOVE the gold brush strokes behind the bold sentiment!!! Have you tried applying a little heat from the back? Sometimes it seems to kind of reverse the warping...Although it probably won't be perfect. Just a thought!;)
